Your wool carpet will last for many years if cared for.
Dry debris can be removed easily with regular vacuuming, so leave any dirt to dry before attempting to clean it.
Occasionally a carpet may show signs of pilling early on, however, with regular maintenance and care this will reduce over time and It is nothing to be concerned about.
Remove any solid or semi-solid spills with a plastic utensil, such as a spatula.
Soak up as much of the stain as possible, blotting with a clean white cloth or kitchen towel. Do this gently, dabbing the stain rather than rubbing so you do not spread the stain.
With a little warm water (or wool care fluid) on a clean white cloth, gently work from the outside of the stain inwards. Remember not to over soak the carpet, as it will spread the stain and damage the fibres.
Continue with this until you are satisfied that the stain has mostly gone, and then use a dry clean white cloth to remove any excess fluid.
Leave the carpet to dry naturally before touching again or vacuuming.
Indentations on the carpet can be avoided by using rugs, or coasters to spread the weight of the furniture, and by moving your furniture regularly.
